Because you said Lightroom CC do want to use Lr (the cloud version) or do you want to use LrC which is basically LR6, with a bunch of improvements? I never installed it.īoth LrC and Lr are installed on your desktop. This automatically sends your actual files to the cloud. Lightroom (Lr) is the cloud version which is at times called the cloudy version in the forums. You have the option to sync to the cloud if you choose to. Just like LR6 it requires local file storage. CC is the ecosystem where you find all the apps for download. Once I subscribe to the new version of Lightroom ie Lightroom CC will I be able to transfer my LR 6.14 library to the new version bearing in mind that I’m running Monterey on my MacBook ? I am now resigned to the fact that I will have to subscribe to the new subscription version of LR. Eventually software and hardware just get get obsolete.īetter off with Adobe.
